Sometimes Therapeutic Massage is also referred to as Medical Massage as well. You and your therapist will determine the best course of treatment after an extensive assessment. These types of massages are not full body massages, these modalities are used to address specific problem areas.
Deep Tissue: A therapeutic technique of body work as well. A deep tissue massage works on the deep layers of muscles and fascia. Researchers concluded deep tissue massages are most beneficial for lower back pain, and helps ease pain from fibromyalgia.
Sports Massage: pre-event, intra-event and post-event massage techniques, each designed to keep you on your game and facilitate endurance, decrease possible injury, and relaxing and removing any tight spots.
Chair: A chair massage focuses on the areas of your back, shoulders, neck, arms, and hands with the most tension. You are massaged over your clothes without any use of massage oil. When getting a chair massage, you sit in a special chair that has a downward angled cradle for your face to rest on, and supports for resting your arms. The massage therapist relieves the tension in the muscles with kneading and compression techniques. These are particularly helpful for our clients who are unable to lay down.
Relaxation: Classic Swedish Massage to reduce stress and muscle tension. Designed to relax the body and mind, with techniques involving long strokes and kneading to promote relaxation.
Couples Relaxation: Classic Swedish Massage, techniques involving long strokes and kneading to promote relaxation. Great for couples wanting some down time together and relax.
Hot Stone: A hot stone massage is a type of massage therapy. It’s used to help you relax and ease tense muscles and damaged soft tissues throughout your body.
During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat, hot massage stones are heated to between 130 and 145 degrees.
Facials: a multi-step skin treatment that is one of the best ways to take care of your skin. A facial cleanses, exfoliates, and nourishes the skin, promoting a clear, well-hydrated complexion and can help your skin feel softer. We will offer a classic facial and a European mud facial with hot stones for that little extra pamper
